More about Rosie

It all started when…

After a long career in the corporate world, Rosie decided in 2006 to make the momentous switch and start her own bodywork and movement practice, The Body Praxis, in Oakland, CA.

Rosie has been passionate about moving by being involved in all kinds of different athletic activities from a young age. She has expanded this passion by learning and understanding how to move most efficiently and effortlessly and then finally how to coach her clients to do so. Using her thorough understanding of anatomy and kinesiology in putting together appropriately customized movement programs, Rosie has been able to help her clients break out of chronic pain such as back pain, hip issues, knee or foot discomfort, shoulder injuries and more.

Rosie very much enjoys teaching, sharing her passion about the intricate workings of the brain and the body, and she ceaselessly tries to encourage her clients to be curious about their body, their movement patterns, and how they can help themselves stay out of pain.

Rosie sees herself as a coach, a facilitator and educator for her clients by striving to enable them to have only positive movement experiences.

After several years abroad, Rosie has made Freeland in South Whidbey Island, WA, her new home - together with her husband and 4 cats.

When she is not in a session with one of her clients or studying the latest findings about neurocentric movement coaching, you can find her in her garden planting or in her kitchen baking bread or somewhere cozy knitting yet another shawl or sweater.
